The Pinewood Derby went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time racing their creations.  Thanks to the following Den 6 families who assisted:  Murdock, Read, Smith, Swift, Waterman, & Woodward.  Special thanks to Janet Schmelling who designed and created all the medals.

Thanks to all of you who participated in Scouting for Food 2010.  We collected 1,792 canned goods and other food items and logged 231.5 man hours of community service.  Participation by boys and adults was excellent.  Our Scouts have made a real difference in the lives of many hungry families in Dallas County.  From your Service Chair and Pack Committee -- thanks!

Pack 890 again earned the Quality Unit Award by having a well-rounded program.  The blue patches were passed out to all boys and leaders in attendance at the Blue & Gold Banquet.  If you missed us, you can get your patch from your Den Leader.  (The correct location for the patch is on the right sleeve, with the top of the patch 4 inches down from the shoulder seam.  You can wear only one of these patches, so if you have the white one from 2008, you can remove it.)
